Weekly Bulletin: Friday 27th February 2026

It has been a real pleasure to welcome everyone back following the Spring Break. I am delighted to say that the children have made a very positive start to the new term. Classrooms have been full of focus, enthusiasm and excellent learning behaviours – well done to all of our pupils for returning with such a fantastic attitude.

Year 5 Visit to Meapa Gymnastics Centre
A special mention must go to our Year 5 pupils for their exemplary behaviour during their first visit to the Meapa Gymnastics Centre. They represented the school brilliantly, demonstrating excellent listening skills, perseverance and respect throughout the session. We are incredibly proud of the way they conducted themselves – they were true ambassadors for our school.

House Representatives Update
Today, our School House Representatives met and successfully elected their new House Captains. Congratulations to all pupils who put themselves forward and to those who have taken on these important leadership roles.

The representatives have also agreed on their first House Competition. Children are invited to design a poster promoting their favourite book. We are excited to see the creativity and enthusiasm this will inspire across the school. The designers of the very best posters will each win a £10 book voucher — a fantastic prize to add even more reading material to their collections.

Whichever House has the most winning entries will be awarded the prestigious House Reading Champion Cup. We look forward to seeing which House will take the title!

World Book Day – Thursday March 5th
As part of our World Book Day celebrations on March 5th, both staff and children will have the opportunity to dress up as a favourite book character. We are very much looking forward to seeing the creativity on display and celebrating our shared love of reading across the school.

Morning Tea & Reading Sessions – Sign Up Now!
We are very much looking forward to hosting our Morning Tea and Reading sessions next week. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for parents and carers to come into school, enjoy a cup of tea and share some reading time with the children.

The sessions will run from 09:00 – 10:00 each day and will be organised by year group as follows:

  • Monday March 2nd – Year 4

  • Tuesday March 3rd – Year 5

  • Wednesday March 4th – Year 6

  • Thursday March 5th – Year 2 & Year 3

  • Friday March 6th – Year 1 & Year R

It is not too late to sign up for your child’s session. If you wish to participate in this event, please make your payment through Arbor under Clubs. Please ensure that you book in advance so that we can provide sufficient refreshments and know who to expect.

We would love to see as many families as possible joining us for these special mornings.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.

Best wishes,
